Notes:
In this age of the broadest proliferation of musical tastes, an era in which various musical realms seem to move increasingly farther apart, Joe & Eddie represent a rare phenomenon. Since they appeal to every age and musical preference group the have achieved the seemingly impossible - universal acceptance. The teen-age "Top 40" fan, the college crowd, the ethnic folknik, the gospel fan, the old timers who simply enjoy good old-fashioned two-part harmony - Joe & Eddie reach them all! Why?
You would undoubtedly receive as many different answers as the number of people you ask, but, given good voices and exceptional musical talent, and refined to its quintessence, the key to their success can probably be most accurately described by two cogent words - Unique and Sincere!
Indeed, their sound is instantly identifiable, it is totally unique, and their sincerity rings true and through - "Their hearts are in it."
Joe and Eddie compliment each other as human beings as well as performers. Joe Gilbert, the lyrical tenor, is sensitive and reflective; responsive to all of life's most delicate nuances. Eddie Brown, the robust baritone, is irrepressibly gregarious. His infectious "joie de vivre" and ready humor will light up any good-sized room in a matter of minutes. Their personalities represent two opposite poles. Together they comprise a complete entity.
