Gladys (Skeeter) Werner started skiing at the age of three in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and was a recognized ski star by the time she was thirteen years old. Her record in national and international competition speaks for itself: 1950 - U.S. National Junior Women's Champion 1951 - U.S. National Junior Women's Champion 1952 - Alternate Member of U.S. Women's Olympic Ski Team 1954 - Member of U.S. Ski Team in F.I.S.
