Winter of the Century is a project by Marek Pędziwiatr AKA Latarnik (Ludojad, EABS, Błoto, Night Marks Electric Trio, etc., etc.) and Marcin Rak AKA Cancer G (JazzBlaster, EABS, Błoto), who have known each other for years and have decided that it's time to present the world with the results of their collaboration. In this duo, both work on different synthesizers, to which Latarnik adds his piano skills to the sounds, and Cancer G contributes his meaty and characterful drumming. The musicians are thoroughly jazz-oriented, although EABS is not a typical jazz sextet, but a group stemming from hip-hop culture (if you haven't heard of them yet, be sure to check out Puzzle Mixtape. If you have, play it again). In the music of the Błoto quartet, hip-hop grooves are even more clearly audible.
